UGRO Capital FY26 results -- AUM up 28% but disbursements only 1%. Good sign for bondholders or not?

just saw UGRO’s FY26 numbers. AUM at Rs 15,334 crore, up 28%. total income up 40%. PAT up 21%. but disbursement growth is just 1%. from a bondholder’s lens is this fine or a flag?

For a bondholder, disbursement growth matters less than book quality. AUM growing 28% with flat disbursements means the existing book is seasoning well, not that they’re struggling. Spreads holding up with income up 40% is the more relevant signal here.

yaar but 1% disbursement at an NBFC feels off na. if they can’t lend, how do they service bonds going forward?

SME lending is credit-intensive. Pulling back on disbursements during a tight rate cycle is deliberate, not distressed. PBT and PAT both up 20%+ with consistent margins backs that up. Watch the next two quarters though.

okay so seedha seedha samjhao – slow disbursement + rising profitability = controlled growth, warning sign nahi hai? that’s the read?

Correct. Think of it this way. They are not giving out new loans as fast as before, but the loans they already gave out are being repaid and generating income. Total income up 40% shows the existing book is performing well. That is exactly what a bondholder wants to see.

bondholder ke liye summary:
book quality and collections > disbursement growth
income up 40%, PAT up 21% ka gap probably higher provisions hai, which is good
Rs 15k cr AUM cross karna is solid scale

red flag nahi hai. but GNPA detail results mein dekh lena before concluding.
